The Elders

Elders, once children, dance at night
When their young are in land of dreams.
They, once youthful, live in Light;
Repelled by His Word
The darkness flees from sight.

Young awake to find they now old
When those past now slumber some more.
They, now elders, in His fold;
Repelled by His Voice
The wolf now not so bold.
